Joe Hylton
Joe Hylton has had a varied career in the dairy industry. His experiences include hauling cans of milk for 8 years and bulk milk for 3 years; serving as a fieldman for Sanitary Milk Producers; operating a dairy equipment/hardware store; managing Vanguard Milk Cooperative; working for Southern Milk Cooperative; managing procurement for Farm Fresh, and then for Mid-States Dairy; and acting as consultant to the Milnot Corporation. He currently manages the Central Equity Milk Cooperative.
Within the many components of his career, Joe has demonstrated excellent management skills and a high level of expertise in milk marketing. He has always been dedicated to getting the best milk price for the producers of his firms. His strong interest and involvement in the production side of the dairy industry is emphasized by his membership in the Missouri Jersey Cattle Club.
Joe was born in Wright County, Missouri. He was raised on a dairy farm on the Douglas-Wright County line. He attended high school in Norwood and college at Missouri State University in Springfield. He has been a member of the State Milk Board of Missouri. He has also been a dealer of dairy equipment.
He is married to Mary, and they live in Mountain Grove, Missouri where Joe served as Mayor for fourteen years. He also serves as deacon of his church. Joe and Mary have two sons, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
